I took a few photos today of my little cabin on Clitheroe market. Doesn’t she look fab? lol
As you can see I’m trying to pack as much as I can into every corner.
What a glorious day luckily the cabin is in the shade so all my lovely wool was safe from being faded in the sun.

I had a big delivery today from Wendy of their two new yarns - Viva and Skye.
Viva is a super chunky yarn that knits to the same patterns as Twilleys Freedom wool. This yarn is machine washable and conatins 20 % wool. It comes in 8 super vibrant colours.

Skye is a double knit tweedy effect DK yarn that contains mohair. It comes in 8 exciting colours.
Both are super soft and I have taken the full range of colours and the full range of fabulous new patterns and pattern books to support both yarns.

I was wondering what you thought about starting a knitting group in Clitheroe.
Is there a demand? If there is which day would be better and any ideas of where we could meet?

I’ve just had a fantastic parcel arrive from Kate Schofield ( Lucky Ewe Designs)containing the new 100% pure Lancashire wool. I have two weights double knitting and 2ply.
DK is £3.50 per 50g ball. The 2ply is sold on 400g cones which are £32 each (£4 per 50g).
It is in the natural colour and completely undyed. I’m going to have a play and dye some to use in my next felted bag design.
knitonthenet (the online knitting magazine) hans writte a review of Kates yarns. it is in issue 8. They even gave it an award.
I only have limited stocks until Kate gets her new fleeces and spins some more. So hurry while stocks last and don’t be disapointed. As always I’ll happily do a mail order service.

Hi all
I’ve had a busy day today. Spent the morning re-arranging the cabin and sorting out. I’m convinced the stall has elastic walls because I keep on bringing new stuff in.
I brought in a new range of buttons today for the bags they are large, made from shell and come fabulous bright colours.
I showed everyone who stood still long enough the 100% Lancashire wool samples and it looks like it is going to be very popular.
I had a lovely chat to Bex who came over to Clitheroe for a trip out with her 3 completely delightful children.
Generally a fun day apart from the fact I managed to knock my cup of pea and ham soup all over the floor and totally smash the cup whilst I had a stall FULL of customers, typical !!!!!!
I did round of my day with a facial at Cloud 9 in Whalley so I’m very chilled and relaxed and ready to watch Springwatch.
I love my job can you tell?

I am an excited bunny. I have been emailing Kate Schofield who produces beautiful handspun 100% wool yarn from local flocks.
I will be stocking two weights intially Double Knitting and 2 ply. In the Autumn Kate hopes to produce an aran weight too.
The wool comes from organic North Country Cheviot & Bluefaced Leicester sheep direct from Lancashire farms.
The samples I have seen are absolutely super. The wool comes in the natural colour, I intend to have a crack at dyeing some myself. (any excuse for a play.)
The dk will be £3.50 for 50g and the 2 ply will be £4.00 for 50g.
I will keep you informed as to when it will be in the shop. I will also mail order if needed.

I had a really busy day today getting the sale stock on display and sorted. Plus as soon as I put it out someone wanted to buy it
I have nearly sold out of the 4 ply crepe ( think there is only 3 bags left of that) 80p per ball or £7.20 for a full bag of 10.
The new colours in the Freedom are scrumptious I have so many bag ideas for them. I need more hours in the day.
I also adore the new colours in the Happy 4 ply. Maria on the lingerie stall has comissioned a beaded beanie hat in the Happy. I made her one using zigzag yarn and beads last week.
I am so so busy and the past month has been frantic but I am loving every second. I have met some lovely people and we have great chats, plus I get to sit in a room full of wool all day.
hugs Liz

Hi everyone
I had a rep visit me this morning from Thomas Ramsdens who supply Wendy, Peter pan, Twilleys etc etc. I have put in an order for some lovely new wool. Lots of sale yarn that will be only £1 per ball!!
Here’s a list of some of the things I’ve ordered that will be here (hopefully) in the next few days.
* An extended the range of colours in Freedom wool including the 4 newly released colours .
*The newly released Freedom patterns.
*The 4 new colours in Happy sock yarn
* The entire range of Narvik yarn and patterrns to support it.
* More colours in Peter Pan prints
*Lots of new patterns
I have also put on order two lovely new ranges of yarn which will be released in June. I have ordered the full colour range of
*Skys- Lovely silky yarn
*Viva - this knits to the same tension as Freedom 100% wool.
There will also be a wide range of patterns in stock to support these new yarns.
Boy do I love my job. Buying lots of wool is such fun. A few of customers who visited while the rep was there got a sneak preview of the new yarns and also helped me choose what to order.
